Keep your hands to yourself !!

While waiting in line at the deli counter a small boy starts talking to my daughter.  No biggie right?  This kind of encounter happens all the time in grocery stores across America.  However this encounter goes horribly wrong, this small boy decides to yank out my son's Gtube!  Now I don't notice this right away as I am ordering various deli meats and cheese, but my daughter pipes up and says " Momma Ayden is leaking"!  As a turn to look and see whats going on this small child''s mother starts to yell at me because her kid is covered in tube feeding!  At this point I am not really sure what to do or say.  This is a situation I have never encountered before.  So I take the Gtube back from the boy whose mother is still yelling at me.  Now I didn't bring my Gtube reinserting supplies with me to the grocery. I know you should always be prepared but really who thinks about small children yanking out Gtubes in the grocery store!  Thankfully we managed to escape the store and get home in time to put in the new Gtube before his stoma closed.

After spending the last few months reading several different blogs, I've decided to throw my nurse's cap into the ring. So let's start with the basics. I am a horrible speller, I can write a sentence but my grammar may not be proper. Get over it!  I am a nurse and a mother of five. My fourth son has multiple medical problems, so I am a nurse at home and work, well just home now as we have just relocated to a new state. I hope soon I will be working for money! I love to cook and try new things.
